Fabulous Feathers

I will be teaching advanced shaping techniques using a variety of feathers to help you create a unique headpiece.  You will learn how to shape, curl and caress your feathers to perfection as well as learning some simple methods to create simple sinamay finishes.  Once you have honed your feather shaping skills and decided on a design, I will show you how to arrange and secure all the different elements onto a headband or small fascinator base so it is ready for you to take home and wear to your next wedding, race event or party.  You will not only leave with a beautiful headpiece but armed with all the skills needed to make many more.

You will learn the following skills:

1. Advanced feather shaping techniques
2. The skills to use sinamay to create simple but effective finishing touches to your feather headpiece
3. How to arrange and attach feathers and sinamay to a headband or small fascinator base

This workshop includes:

1.  All materials
2.  Supplier list
3. Homemade refreshments

A basic level of sewing is required.
