Creating Something for a Moment to Remember

Some occasions are truly unforgettable, and creating a bespoke headpiece to be worn at one is a very special part of my work as a milliner.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of creating bespoke hats and headpieces for clients attending Royal investitures at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, including those receiving honours from His Majesty the King, as well as family members and loved ones attending to support them.

From my millinery studio in Gloucestershire, I create bespoke and ready-to-wear hats and occasion headpieces for weddings, investitures, Royal Ascot, race days and other special occasions where dressing up is part of the celebration

An Honour and Privilege

It is fascinating, and invariably humbling, to hear about the inspirational people behind these ceremonies and the causes they have devoted so much of their time to championing.

Knowing a little of their stories makes creating a headpiece for the occasion even more meaningful. Every commission has its own story, and I love working with my clients to create something that feels personal to them and the occasion they are attending.

I feel incredibly proud when I see my headpieces being worn at an investiture. These are occasions filled with pride, celebration and plenty of emotion, and it is a real privilege to have played a small part in such an important day.

More than just a Hat

For me, bespoke millinery has always been about more than simply creating something beautiful.

It is about creating something that becomes part of a memory.

Whether it is a wedding, Royal investiture, Royal Ascot, a day at the races or another special occasion, I want every hat or headpiece to feel personal to the person wearing it.

I work closely with my clients to create a design that reflects their individual style, complements their outfit and, most importantly, makes them feel wonderful when they put it on.
